Metrogel – Rosacea Treatment Medication:

Metrogel (metronidazole topical) is a powerful topical antibacterial gel which is used to treat patients who are currently suffering from chronic acne, rosacea or acne rosacea.

What is Rosacea?

Rosacea is a skin disease which most often occurs in fair-skinned adults in between the ages of 30-50+. It is caused by the red blood cells in the surface of the face dilating and rising to the surface as thin, red lines. It is often accompanied by lesions or acne similar to teenage acne.

How to Take Metrogel:

Only take Metrogel as directed to by your doctor. Make sure that you wash the affected area and dry it before applying this topical gel. Most often it will be prescribed to be applied two times per day, once in the morning and once at night. If you miss an application apply it as soon as you can.
